All of the M’lain collection is carefully packed with clear care instructions. We use the finest fibers and materials available today for all our products. These products will age wonderfully with proper care and attention. We recommend the following:
Linen: Unlike any other fabric, will improve with age and the proper care. Machine wash with a mild soap powder, do not bleach as this will harm the fibers. We recommend a low dryer setting and remove while still damp-hang drying is ideal. Iron while still humid or with a steam iron on the reverse side of surface embellishment. No need for starch as linen has a natural crispness. If professionally dry cleaning, request a non bleaching treatment.
Cotton: A naturally soft fabric does not require fabric softener. Machine wash with a mild soap powder in warm water with a cool rinse. Shake out before drying to prevent the onset of wrinkling. We recommend line drying in indirect sunlight or tumble drying on a low heat. Iron on a medium to high heat on the reverse side of surface embellishment.
Silk: A naturally strong fiber that most resembles human hair- so treat in a similar fashion. Do not twist or pull as this will damage the fibers and cause irregular shaping. Keep out of repeated exposure to sunlight to maintain the best care. Hand wash with a mild soap powder in luke warm water or a gentle care cycle. Dry between towels to remove excess water and to maintain the shape. Iron on a low setting on reverse side of surface embellishment.
Leather: This unique, durable and very luxurious material does not require regular cleaning. For surface stains wipe with a damp cloth. Be certain to allow leather to air dry naturally. To prevent mildew, protect leather from excessive humidity. Store leather products in a dry cool place using the storage bag we have provided for you.
Alpaca Wool: As soft as cashmere more lustrous than sheep’s wool Alpaca does not itch since it does not contain lanolin. Alpaca should be hand washed to maintain the natural shine and softness. When washing, use a mild soap powder, warm water and a bit of care and attention. Never twist or distort, remove excess water between towels and dry flat. We suggest occasional dry cleaning to ensure product longevity.
Pima Cotton: So luxurious it feels like silk. Please hand wash in warm water or machine wash using the gentle cycle. Always dry flat and remove excess water between towels. Store in a cool and airy place.
Cashmere: So wonderfully soft and luxurious we never want to stop touching it. We recommend periodical professionally dry cleaning, as excessive cleaning will break down the fibers and will lessen the super softness we love about this fiber. We recommend hand washing in warm water and then drying flat between towels. Always store cashmere in a cool dark place using the cotton bag provided.
